So I watched the Dollhouse finale…
This show just bumped Firefly down from the #1 spot on my Favorite Sci-Fi Shows of All Time list. Now Whedon owns spots #1 and #2. I cannot stress enough how badly everyone needs to see this show. There’s some lulls in early season 1 and mid-season 2, but on the whole they easily get compensated for by the incredible thrill rush all the other episodes provide. It’s mind-blowingly...

Google To Start Phasing Out IE6 Support →
Took a while, but this was inevitable. The floodgates are now open, and IE6 support will be phased out of web design contracts all over the world. Short URL: http://farukat.es/p386

I miss you guys.
eequalsmckenna: I wish someone would tweet that we are meeting at Vertigo so I can race up to San Francisco in my car. I didn’t do that enough this weekend. COME BACK! Well don’t let the fact that some of us are here in SF stop you, or anything. (Bailey, Jason, Matt, Maya, Jessie, Clarko, me and I’m sure I’m forgetting some, even…)

On cynicism…
tj: We were having a discussion about cynicism in class, and how destructive and anti-productive it is. Someone mentioned Conan’s farewell speech which included this widely-quoted section: To all the people watching, I can never thank you enough for your kindness to me and I’ll think about it for the rest of my life. All I ask of you is one thing: please don’t be cynical. I hate cynicism —...

Say it out loud: iPad
lonelysandwich: … The #2 top latest news item on cnn.com is “iPad name draws feminine hygiene jokes”. #2 on CNN. In fact, it was there I found out that people have been sending around a two-year-old MadTV sketch about (get this) an Apple-branded sanitary napkin called ‘iPad’. All I’d seen was people cracking wise and obvious all day on Twitter. Sure, I participated. What, am I made of steel? ...

iWish They Were Better at iNames
tj: Apple really needs some help with coming up with names. File management? Finder Mail app? Mail Web browser? Safari Command-line? Terminal PDF reader? Preview Spreadsheet? Numbers Presentations? Keynote Word processor? Pages Music making? Garage Band And now… Processor? A4. Because nothing else is already named A4. Really, Apple, are you aware of this thing called...

yhf: kurafire: <Luckyshirt’s chat> Technically, if a person answers with a non-numerical value to a question prompting a numerical response, it is well within logical linguistic boundaries to interpret that single answer as a default value of 1. After a Starbucks customer orders his drink in...
Guy waiting for drink, to his friend: [In horrible Japanese accent] "I WUD WAN WUN CARFEE!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
His friend: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Me: How many languages do you speak?
Him: Haha what?
Me: How many languages do you speak?
Him: English. Why?
Me: [to the friend] ...and you?
The friend: English.
Me: I just asked you both for a number, and you both answered: "English". So apparently you speak zero languages, while the guy you're laughing at speaks at least two.
(And then I walked out.)
(I might be in a bad mood today.)
